Annette
Dr Annette Nolan has over 25 years of experience in environmental chemistry, within research, analytical chemistry, remediation contracting and environmental consulting sectors. Annette has expertise in innovative and sustainable remediation solutions, particularly for emerging contaminants such as PFAS. Annette has been involved in a wide range of contaminated land investigation/remediation projects at complex industrial sites across Australia. Annette has had extensive involvement with ALGA since 2012. She was a member of the ALGA Board of Directors from 2014 – 2020 and has been a member of the ALGA Emerging Contaminants of Concern Interest Group since its inception in 2015. Annette was awarded an Honorary Life Membership of ALGA in 2021.

This presentation will present a relatively simple yet compelling PFAS forensics case study to determine whose PFAS is it for the purpose of apportioning responsibility to remediate a hazardous liquid waste spill.
