Presentation Details

Regenerable Ion Exchange resin (RIEX) has been used successfully in Australian PFAS treatment systems since 2017. Its benefits compared with single-use media include waste minimisation, better sustainability and long-term cost savings.  As remediation of PFAS-contaminated sites continues and expands into the future, it is vital to understand the long-term reliability of treatment solutions and develop improvements. The case study presented here assesses the long-term performance of RIEX resin - which has now undergone multiple regeneration cycles and is over 4 years old - at a full-scale groundwater treatment plant.
