A Bit About Kim

Kim is a Principal Environmental Advisor at Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). Her focus at LINZ is leading contaminated land projects on many sites that are in the Treaty of Waitangi Settlements Landbank and engaging with iwi from project scoping to completion. She also provides advice on contaminated land strategy and policy advice across LINZ and collaborates with other New Zealand government agencies. She has worked in the contaminated land industry for over 10 years, including working in both Australia and Aotearoa.

The key focus of her presentation is about learnings she has gained from working with iwi to make decisions around contamination, highlighting early engagement to build stronger relationships. Kim will cover LINZ’s role in Treaty of Waitangi Settlements, lessons learned and the engagement principles LINZ is now implementing to their contaminated land and demolition projects.
