A Bit About Tianna
Tianna Milburn is an Organic Chemist and Facility Assigned Signatory at Envirolab Services and graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Science. With over five years industry experience, Tianna is involved with the development and testing of non-routine compounds and matrices and increasing the laboratory scope of NATA accreditation. Tianna also enjoys cooking and is currently perfecting her sourdough focaccia recipe.
Presentation Details
The use of Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products (PPCPs) in the community is universal. These emerging contaminants are of interest to many parties, including consultants, laboratories, local councils, and water authorities. Laboratory analysis for these compounds in biosolids can be used to establish a clear picture of how widely distributed they are and help to develop environmental guidelines to monitor and control contamination. The implications beyond the environmental community could include the manufacturing, leading to the use of these compounds becoming regulated, similar to heavy metals and pesticides.
